What drives the art?
Pushing the envelope of what can be done with material and tool is what keeps me coming back to the workshop. When a professional of a focused trade or study is baffled or impressed by a piece of my work, it is the highest compliment to my efforts. In that moment, the cost and time to produce the work are absorbed into the piece itself. That being said, my work has to be appealing.
The style I have created that speaks for my passion is what I like to call “Elegant Industrial.” It is the blend of a hardened visual appearance that has been popularized by the contemporary use of last century’s industrial surplus, but executed with fresh creativity and precision.
